About NPS 21

The Netherlands Process Technology Symposium (NPS) is a leading conference in the field of process technology and chemical engineering in the Netherlands. With a history of over twenty years, the NPS has provided a convenient platform to connect academia, industry, and society for the exchange of recent achievements in the field.   

The 21st edition of the Netherlands Process Technology Symposium (NPS 21) will be organized and hosted by Maastricht University and will take place from November 4th to 5th, 2026 in Maastricht.

The theme of NPS 21 is “Chemical Engineering for a Sustainable Tomorrow” and the conference will seek to highlight the recent developments in sustainable processes and technologies which enable a greener manufacturing industry, a key societal challenge in the 21st century. The conference program is a combination of plenary talks, keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations, centered around six topical sessions: Reaction Engineering & Catalysis, Separation Processes & Transport Phenomena, Process Systems Engineering, Renewable Carbon Conversion, Recycling Technologies, & (Bio)chemical Process Engineering.

The conference will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel Maastricht, please see location details below. A limited number of rooms are also available at special rates at the Crown Plaza Hotel. More details can be found in the Hotel Accommodation tab.

The gala dinner and evening program for the conference will be organized at the Rebelle Maastricht on the 4th of November.
